The West Briton and Cornwall Advertiser, 29 March 1850

RICHARD HOOPER, 29 was charged with assaulting Mary Williams, on the highway from Callington to Tavistock, with intent to violate her person, and with stealing from her, three half-pence; he was acquitted of the robbery and
found Guilty of assault. Sentence Six Month's Hard Labour.
